Founded in 2001, in ten short years Casemate has become a major specialist publisher and book distributor in the North American market.

The publishing arm of Casemate has grown to become the leading publisher in the fields of military history, defense studies, and military science in the USA. Casemate has a burgeoning publishing list covering subjects as diverse as Roman History and the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts of today.

At the same time, many publishers from the USA, UK, continental Europe and beyond, have come to trust Casemate as a valued distribution partner in reaching and maximizing sales from this vibrant market. Building on the success of its US operation, Casemate opened for business in the United Kingdom in 2007 and so now is able to offer distribution services worldwide. Many of our distribution client publishers have chosen to use both our UK and US distribution operations.

Beginning with our subject specialty of military history, Casemate's distribution operation now offers books in many disciplines and subject areas, from history to genealogy, from fine art to travel and much more.
