US Navy and Marine Corps Air Power Yearbook 2022

Every year is a busy year where US Navy and US Marine Corps aviation is concerned – 2022 is no exception. Boeing's P-8A Poseidon is one of this edition's big stories. Every day, Poseidons are undertaking maritime surveillance missions and hunting submarines not least those belonging to China, and Russia. All nine US Navy carrier air wings are at different stages of their work-up ahead of deployment to the north Atlantic, Mediterranean and South China Sea, among others. And the Navy's training command remains busy producing pilots and naval flight officers for the operational squadrons. These are big topics.
