The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk (names for the RAF and the Soviet Air Force: P-40 Tomahawk, P-40 Kittyhawk) is an American fighter, fighter-bomber, and reconnaissance aircraft from the Second World War. The P-40 was the standard United States Army Air Force's aircraft during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and was used in combat until the end of the Pacific War, early September 1945.
