Clear Vue Publishing

The Clear Vue Publishing Partnership was founded in 2004 with the express task of publishing the manuscript known as Festung Guernsey, the extraordinary record of the fortifications of the Channel Islands left behind after the Nazi Occupation of 1941-1945. Originally published as a high quality, hand made, facsimile, the project was completed in 2015 with the release of the manuscript as a set of 10 A4 paperbacks. The series remains the most complete breakdown and analysis of a German military fortification of the period.

The partnership has evolved and now exists to publish and promote Channel Island history. To this end they have published the King’s Survey of the Channel Islands, the magnificent fortifications report commissioned by Charles the Second and completed as a royal folio in 1680.

In addition four films have been completed, on all aspects of the wartime years, including one on the fortifications; Hitler’s Island Madness. Further volumes are planned relating to the Occupation of the islands and currently there is an anthology of writing of the period in development.
