This book is exceptional in more ways than one. These are the memories of a radio of the 12. Squadron of the panzer regiment 24 of the 24 Panzer Division which fought on the Eastern Front, across Europe (France and Italy), into Eastern Prussia, and survived with serious burns. It is also exceptional thanks to pictures taken by the author, with 64 color photographs, more than a third of them concerning his panzer uniforms and daily life of the tanker.
