Overview-
On 23 March 2022, the Irish Air Corps celebrated its centenary. Since its formative days, when the first Director of Irish Military Aviation was appointed, closely followed by the military handover of Baldonnel Aerodrome, the Air Corps has evolved into a modern air arm of the Irish Defence Forces. In this special commemorative centenary publication, photojournalist Josef Campion documents this journey with historic photographs of those early days of the fledging air corps and the following decades. The book culminates with stunning recently captured air-to-air imagery and ground-based imagery of the myriad of roles the Irish Air Corps undertakes in the 21st century.
