If the Century Series fighters epitomized the might of the USAF during the late 1950s and into the mid-1970s, the teen series have dominated airspace around the world ever since. The F-14, F-15, F-16 and F/A-18 are arguably the most famous and successful jet-powered combat aircraft ever built. These fourth-generation fighters have served with the US armed forces for 50 years in some cases and today still comprise the bulk of America's air power.
