Moore has been studying aircraft for over forty years and has had numerous books published on Soviet aviation, including Il-2 Shturmovik: Red Avenger, Lavochkin Fighters of the Second World War, and Tupolev Tu-2: The Forgotten Medium Bomber. His interest extends also to British aircraft, which he has studied and modelled for decades. He is particularly interested in British aircraft of the Second World War and post-war British piston-engined aircraft.
