Wekusta 2 was a reconnaissance unit of the Luftwaffe, whose history was little explored by historians. The history of the Wekusta 2 deserves that attention. There are few units of the Luftwaffe which, during the Occupation, were permanently based in France. The Wekusta 2 took off daily from Brest-Lanvéoc, Nantes-Chateau Bougon, Mont de Marsan or Bordeaux-Mérignac.
Pierre Babin reconstructs the history of Wekusta 2. He explored the few available archives in Germany and in the countries of the Commonwealth, met a few veterans of unity, collected their precious testimonies and consulted documents kept by families of Airmen. This is the story, if poorly understood to this day, that Pierre Babin has reconstituted in a book a little over 200 pages, illustrated with previously unpublished photos.
